Cinelli's at North Hills Mall. Pizza dough is fine, use pesto base, pre-shredded cheese is okay, can add grilled chicken, veggies, etc.
Cowfish at North Hills: Burgers are fresh ground beef only, no added ingredients. Can be wrapped in lettuce. Ketchup and mustard are at table, not on burgers. Might be able to do some sushi rolls, but need to check on Nori ingredients. Manager was very accommodating and confident over the phone that they could offer at least a few items.
PDQ (Nathan, Keithly) Grilled chicken tenders are safe. Fried chicken needs to be dipped in regular milk instead of buttermilk. Fries are fine. Apples need to be sliced, not in pineapple juice. Lemonade is house made with lemons and simple syrup.
Lucky 32: (Shane Garrity) Grilled chicken or salmon can be cooked in a pan with butter, not butter spray. Mashed/Whipped potatoes and sweet potatoes are safe. Can have fresh fruit. Salad with oil and vinegar. Not sure on fries.
Chuy's: Can have fajitas or kids' tacos with lettuce wraps instead of tortillas. Guacamole, salsa and sour cream are okay.
Avoid the following restaurants:I haven't called to verify, but I don't even want to hold my breath thinking that place like McDonald's, Burger King, etc have corn-free options. I just can't fathom it, and we are better off avoiding it anyway. Maybe a baked potato with sour cream would be safe at Wendy's?
Pei Wei Asian Diner - they had no options when I called
Gigi's Cupcakes - corn starch is in everything
Another Broken Egg - they have one granola dish, but it did not make my daughter happy.
Sub/Sandwich places: (nearly all deli meats have injected ingredients that contain corn)
- Jersey Mike's
- Firehouse Subs
- American Hero
